Women Of The Lens Film Festival: Call For Submissions

Women of the Lens Film Festival is calling for submissions from British and international producers and filmmakers for its sixth festival, which will take place in March 2024. The festival is dedicated to showcasing the talents of Black women in the film industry and accepts submissions of feature films, short films, animation, and anime in all genres. Submissions for broadcast, web series, and podcast productions are also welcome.

The festival will feature film screenings, as well as high-impact discussions with industry professionals. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2023.

About Women of the Lens Film Festival

Women of the Lens Film Festival was founded in 2017 by Jenifer G. Robinson. The festival is committed to facilitating industry partnerships, developing audience engagement with rarely seen images of Black women, highlighting and celebrating achievement, and contributing to the wider discourse around representation and media education.

Submission guidelines

Submissions are open to British and international productions. Films must be completed after January 1, 2022. The festival accepts feature films, short films, animation, and anime in all genres. Submissions for broadcast, web series, and podcast productions are also welcome.
