Pamela R. Haynes FRSA is a retired Senior Probation Officer turned author. She has previously worked as a court report writer, a domestic abuse programme facilitator, and with survivors of domestic violence.
Pamela has over 30 years of experience working in the Criminal Justice System and she has worked in a variety of Probation Officer roles and settings. Pamela has been a guest lecturer at Hertfordshire University and the University of East London.
She started the Author 2 Author Podcast on International Women’s Day on 8th March 2021. She interviews self-published authors from around the world. The podcast is also streamed across two radio stations and is sponsored by Dalgety Teas.
Her debut novel Loving The Brothers was published in 2018, and the sequel Loving The Sisters was published in 2022. She is currently writing Loving The Children. The trilogy is about domestic abuse from a Black British perspective, and aims to raise awareness about different forms of domestic abuse and the role probation services play in safeguarding victims of abuse.
Haynes says: ‘Stories are written about the police service and other criminal justice agencies. It is about time somebody wrote about the probation service and the crucial work they do to safeguard survivors of domestic abuse.’
